Biagio Ferrara (1874-1952) and Liboria Barone (1884-1960)

Biagio Ferrara, son of Salvatore Ferrara and Giuseppa Farina, and Liboria Barone, daughter of Orazio Barone and Vincenza Fiorello, met in their home town of Villalba, Sicily. They married in 1902 and had two daughters, Giuseppa (Jessie) and Salvatrice (Jenny).

Biagio emigrated to the United States in 1906 staying with his brother Giuseppe in Trenton, NJ. Liboria and the girls arrived in 1907, settling in Trenton for a time. There, in 1909, the couple's third daughter (my grandmother), Concetta (Katie), was born.

The Ferrara's moved to Niagara Falls, NY and had another daughter, Mary, born in 1918. Liboria had two sisters also in the US. Calogera, who married Michele Bordenga and lived in Niagara Falls and Santa Tuzzeo who stayed in New Jersey.
